Mission Statement
Mission Statement – Part 1 - Jimb
I have long harbored a desire to make a difference in some significant way for my fellow beings. In April 2020 I revived my dead (for 18 years) identity as an artist during the freedom from distractions, offered by the liberating isolation of Covid. I stepped back in and now see the plague as a personal gift. Knowing that timing is critical and recognizing the need for a major shift in the regressive and repressive ways that cultures nearly everywhere limit the free expression of our sexuality, I have taken full advantage of this period to produce many thought-provoking images that offer a brand new lens through which to view the artistry of our (Erotic) selves.
My purpose is to expand my unique brand of break-through art to the point that I am recognized as an influencer; one whose vision inspires the healing liberation of humanity’s sensual/sexual/ psyche; who can help to guide us all toward a healthy Eros at a level that impacts the world—starting with our depraved western culture—in a therapeutic way. Small things are notorious for triggering great shifts in societies; such as the Arab Spring, the surprising acceptance of the LGBTQ communities under Obama, etc. Our challenges, such as progress toward finally eliminating the social blindness of racism, equal rights for women, and so many more, can be supported by a shift toward the acceptance and tolerance of sexual equinimity.
We are in deep need of a break from social constructs based on shame, fear, control (mostly by men), and violence. We need look no further than the fear and hypocrisy expressed by most republicans in congress for living proof of the need.
Art encourages others to choose to consider releasing the bias based on conditioning, and to recognize the beauty found in authentic, joyful, consensual sexual exploration and expression. It provides us with new eyes and (eye)deas about ourselves, our capacity for joy, and our right to define our own boundaries.
I might help to develop an SQ (Sensual/Sexual Quotient), akin to the IQ and recently recognize EQ to arrive at a more perfect humanity where Eros can be practiced more socially and openly in a healthy way (like nudism, and the transformation of women’s bathing suits (and other) attire over time.
Reduction in crime, especially sexual crimes, will follow as people learn tolerance and how to recognize the obscure beauty in what is intensely erotic rather than focus only on what is pornographic. They may then learn to recognize that fear, shame and guilt do not serve a useful or healthy purpose in their lives and that with the help of sex-workers, therapists, and other females, they can learn to experience passion and love free from anger, blame and rage.
I want to achieve notoriety not just for my artistic breakaway but also for its contribution to the emancipation of our culture. Just as we are now globally evolving toward a wider acceptance of LGBTQ and etc., in its myriad expressions (a step on the path), we can likewise learn to fully accept and encourage others to express their sexual authenticity without fear—to a point where we can respect and celebrate one another’s honest diversity without the need for gender binarism.
I wish to achieve adequate income so that I can generously support the most compelling and urgent issues extant today – that maybe—if we learn to share by honoring differences—we might have a shot at survival. High on my list will be support of battered women’s organizations, and those dedicated to supporting children who have been rejected from their families due to sexual identity, etc.
I want to travel and teach other artists my techniques and insights, to practice my art with their own tools, vision, and style as therapy by more broadly liberating the mind/body/spiritual connection; thereby freeing us to teach a more holistic/humanistic, and reverent way (Tantric teachings) of living which embraces the heart of Gaia. I will publish a table-top picture book that will be the companion piece for my teaching. It will have a great deal of written content as well, about my artistic/spiritual/moral/emotional/transformational life journey. With these tools I will instruct many other artists to embrace and teach the genre of gentle, loving Eros and apply their own positive style to its expansion and a better – more passionate/compassionate world.
Humans have always held a fascination for all things erotic, but too long were held back from expressing appreciation or even acknowledging. The advent of the computer and the myriad profusion of art software has lifted the shrouds, and blown away the scales from our eyes.
Proliferation of profound beauty through art brings the light to the darkness. It has always been there but has largely been hidden under shrouds of conformity, morality, the masculine mystique, compulsion, need to be right, and ignorance, resulting in confusing, unfulfilling, conflicted sexual expression that breeds disappointment, envy, blame, jealousy, and aggression—incels (involuntary celibates), toting automatic weapons in markets and malls are a prime example.
We can achieve what the hippies set out to do in the sixties “let it all hang out” which is to shed the masks, cloaks and pretense with the objective of fomenting authenticity.
I welcome those who share my vision and choose to join in this journey.
Mission Statement – Part 2
Produce erotic art (sensual, sexual, kinky) that is:
Subtle.
Eye-catching often kaleidoscopic/mandalic forms and shapes.
Colorful (even eye-popping).
Hard to pass by without taking a closer look (nearly everyone is distracted by anything of a sexual nature, even when unrecognizable as such—whether expressed or implied).
Mysterious – the occult nature will further compel many to linger in an attempt to ‘find’ what’s hidden in my works. Lively discussions will often ensue. This truth applies whether hung in a home, office, or gallery.
And that:
Stokes the imagination & inspires awe.
Can be sold in limited or unlimited editions.
Can be customized to suite buyers’ color preference (one of a kind).
Can be made from high resolution photos, provided by the customer, private photo shoots, or some other sources (respectful of copy-write laws).
Runs the gamut from mysterious, elegant and stunning non-identifiable themes, to works that can be profoundly raw and explicit.
Has the potential to become a highly identifiable and sought after brand in the world of erotic art.
